With lots of projects shaping up, and we should group them together and do the ones that are more common so we all can learn while getting things done A) doesn't appear like we will have enough time for a drive, B) need experts/skilled wrench folks to supervise.

SCCA Pro Solo that weekend. If we don't go, then I'm in.
I am looking to do a Short shifter and the OBC. I'm handy w/ a wrench I just need supervision. I can help bleed brakes. And I can provide fluids cheaply. I have a costco card, so we can get cheap pizza. or lots of polish dogs, sodas and churros. : )
where is this house that you speak of, i just need a city for now

San Jose... in Willow Glen.
Why would you want to do a Mantis Bar install, when you can do a TechnoBrace install from PedrosGarage.com for half the price?
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

I agree Pedro's products are great. Except for those pesky orange side markers he likes to push. :D

Need Voxster's address, Send a private message to The Voxster (http://www.babblers.org/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=1941) to confirm here.
In fairness, I must confess I answered Yes, not sure yet, because if it's going to be at my house, I need to check into borrowing the whole back parking lot area for a few hours in the afternoon on Sunday. If that comes back a no from the neighbors, it can't be at my house, but I *think* I can pull it off :) I will update as I know more.
How soon can you find out? It looks to be a big turnout (5 confirmed and 6 probables).
Come on over to PedrosGarage ;)
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

If Voxster can't have the "work on your car day" at his place, are there any suggestions to have it someplace else?
Or do we cancel until another time?
what do you think?
OK, after talking to the HOA here (in hindsight, I probably should have asked forgiveness rather than permission), it won't be possible for me to commandeer the parking lot for even a few hours of working on cars. "Liability, blah blah blah..."
I just hung up the phone.
No problem.
Thanks Voxster for all your efforts and trying to make it all work for everyone.
If anybody knows of a place to work on cars, please speak up. I know Pedro offered his great garage!! :D Pedros Garage (http://www.pedrosgarage.com/Site/Garage.html)
Not sure if I would make it though. Florida is too many hours away!
I would guess this event on Saturday, March 29th is postponed for the time being. The date could be moved to another month/day.
Any suggestions are welcomed.

if we are about 6-8 cars, my place is just fine.
anyhting more than that, and you will have to start parking further awayr.
but no probs, as I have no HOA. I have had honda S2000 maint. days at my house, 8+cars, and whenever I have a BBQ, there are like 12+ audis on the street.
I am in Dublin, near the 680/580 interchange, the driveway is slightly slopped, but the street is flat, and you can work on your car in the st.
let me know, and we can make it official.

the same day works. I don't want to resched something that people have been looking forward to...
Mar 29th.
Hmm, I guess this means I should order my SSK now. : )
Lets get a headcount. I am in Dublin. For those that are confirmed, PM me for an address.

There's an auto-x in Santa Rosa on the 29th also.
I'll probably go to that. I couln't wait, so I installed the braces already. Though I was looking forward to watching/helping wrench on others' boxsters.
I'll make a definitive decision soon.

I was just keeping my fingers crossed that my new painted center console gets here in time... methinks it won't however. Just ordered yesterday.
Can't do the short shifter without my console here, though... and if I'm tearing things up, I may as well do the OBC, but again, without the console, it's a multiple day job. :(
I am still interested in getting a few together for similar projects (short shift install, OBC, etc.).
Maybe another time in the near future...
