I was sick throughout this week (still recovering), so will be there if I'm feeling better. If I make it, I will have to leave early, as I need to be in oakland early afternoon. Sure looks like a great day though! I'm sure my car will love the drive almost as much as I will :)

My wife & I haven't done any Boxster events. We're new Porsche people as of December. This might be the right opportunity for us to meet some of the Babbler community.

The weather looks OK. The route would be scenic. The restaurant menu looks inviting. Gas prices are even lower than before.

Whoever set this up really thought of everything.

Sorry I was not able to make it... was still feeling sick.

Who all went? How was the drive (and the lunch)? Any pics?

I guess everyone had things to do no one showed up except George, Carol and myself. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and decided to cancel the drive until another time.

It was a beautiful day. So I left on my own going north on Skyline. About 2 miles down the road a DEER jumped in front of my car. I didn't even see it coming. Some bikers saw it all happen. It was so close! A big brown flash went across the front end of my car. It was huge! Lucky it did not hit me. So be careful out there! BTW, no pics.

Hope your feeling better Bigb!

Thats a shame -- it sure was a beautiful day for a drive. Scary on the deer incident. Looks like there are quite a few deer on skyline, I've heard of several near-misses and experienced it once myself. Could be just one deer that has a thing for porsches :)

It definitely was a beautiful weekend to go for a drive. Unfortunately I was very busy prepping my other P-car for a Smog test. When I finally got done and took the car to my favorite place to Smog (Test Only). He closed shop early. Now I will have to wait 2 weekends before I can go back. I''m out of town again for the next 2 weekends.

Washington DC here I come..

We actually started driving over there. But between leaving later than we should have and traffic backed up in Berkeley we realized we'd never make it by 10:30 AM. So, we stopped for some lattes, regrouped, and headed up to Napa instead. Made our own loop to Berryessa then back.
Top down for the first time. It was fun.
Of course, a stop at the outlet mall cost me, but really got my wife engaged in the whole "drive around all day in a Boxster" experience.
We'll start a good hour earlier next time. Sorry to be no shows.
