Okay, I needed 3 posts to join the top 20 club, so I thought I'd add this Boxster mechanical story. Last week I closed the passenger door, and it just bounced back off the door jamb. I checked the obvious stuff: seat belt in the door, closed latch mechanism, stuck latch. Nada.
I ended up tying the door shut and driving it to the dealer. When I got there, I started thinking about leaving it unlocked, and tried pushing the door to set the alarm, and cycling the remote control locks. It latched and locked! Weird, but it worked. Problem hasn't come back....
