View Full Version : Would WAP access be of interest to anyone?
There's a wap style floating around for the forum that I'll be happy to install if there's any real interest in such a feature. Not sure how many visitors would actually make use of it but if there is enough interest I'll be happy to set it up.
Feel free to respond here.

I just joined a Mobile Search company, so I would certainly like to see more WAP in general.
I'd also like to see an RSS feed. We just developed a free Open Platform product that lets you designate an RSS feed and keyword to let users search Babblers content with our short code 44636 (4INFO) and get results via SMS. Never be without your Babblers! :D

I second this!
Well, I guess if you don't know what WAP (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/W/WAP.html) is then you probably wouldn't have a need for it
Basically, you'd be able to browse the forum using a microbrowser (i.e. cell phone, PDA, etc.).

If it would make the site BlackBerry-friendly, I'd like to try it. :)
Thanks,
Snaxster
Thank you! I do not have a need for it yet, but I would like to see it. I will just make sure my next phone is able!
Thanks!
I second what Snaxter said. I have a Blackberry and if I can see there better, then I will continue to read it even when I am not in my office ( :D )

Why not do it? More and more people are using PDA's, pocket PC's, Smart phones, etc... unless, of course, if it costs $$$$$$
There's no money involved - just the time to pull it off.
The bulk of the work has already been done but I'm not happy with the results as they stand at them moment. So I'd need to spend a bit of time tweaking things to work the way I'd like them to be.
Tom,
I wouldnt loose any nights doing this, but if you have the time, it would be good and very usefull (at least to me).
