I heard tell about this run at the V1 Stealth Install get-together... now I gotta know where it is and how to get there.

We'll go on a dry day - we can do a BABBLERS drive - probably about 10 Boxsters will go

Nothing so far. You thinking about a drive?

You can start at either end but going up the front side from San Jose is the better trip. This is primarily due to the fact that it's a 3+ hour drive and the front side can be very challenging. The back side (after the observatory) can be a much quicker, yet still demanding, pace.
For a short drive one can take Calaveras Rd. This can be run either from Milpitas or from Sunol.
Caution
Both of these roads narrow to slightly more than a single lane in spots. However, thay are always to be considered as 2-lane roads. Also, lots of motorcycle traffic on both of them.

I've driven Calaveras by accident once (trying to get to the fantastic and beautiful Sunol regional wilderness area) in my Taurus (yech, made my wife carsick). Been thinking about hitting that road again with the Box... top down... sunny... no wife ;)
What road exactly does one take starting in San Jose?
