If you're looking for independent personalized service, there is an excellent local shop where I take my Mercedes for service; now I'm taking my Boxster there also. Very clean and modern shop.

that my female friend with an older 911 Cab said to try out. There is a 2 month wait at Anderson.
I am about due for the 30k service and tires on my 1/97. She gave me the name of a place in Campbell, and I wonder if it is the same. Not happy about spending $$$ for an oil change and spark plug replacement. If it was not for the fact I need a spare key recoded, remap, a recall for the ignition switch, I would do it myself.
I will check with Sharon and find out if it is the same place.

I thought I had to get service performed by a Porsche authorized service center to maintain my warranty....

I've received some responses to this post, so I'll add some other info for those interested.
The guy to talk to is the owner John Lancaster. I believe that this shop can do service work to maintain warantee. I didn't tell John I was posting this on the Babbler's board, but I will tell him on Monday. When you call, you're welcome to give him my name as a reference--I know you'll be pleased with the personal attention. I believe scheduling delay for service is about a week.
