Announcing the Babblers 2005 Porsche Picture Contest.
Do you have a favorite picture of a Porsche that you took? If so, you might be able to win one of many valuable prizes with it! If not, dust of your camera and get clicking.
The Babblers are currently holding the 2005 Porsche Picture Contest. The rules are pretty much the same as the last contest held in 2003. There are 4 categories for the entries this time and each category is open to anybody. Winners will be able to select their prize from the available pool of prizes. First place in each category picks first, then second place, etc. The selection process will continue until all prizes are gone.
Don't delay. Submit your favorite Porsche picture (gppc@babblers.org) to the 2005 PPC today. When sending your picture be sure to note which category it belongs in and any comment that should be posted along with the picture.
RULES:
One entry per person. (You may only submit to one category.)
All pictures must be of a Porsche.
No pictures that were submitted in previous years or contests will be accepted.
One vote per picture per person with each picture rated on a scale from 1-5 stars.
You must have the rights to the picture.
Picture must be in JPEG format and not larger than 640x480 (or 480x640) and less than 500K.
Only 20 submissions per category will be accepted.
The moderator reserves the right to refuse a submission for any reason.
Any issues or disputes will be resolved by the moderator. The moderator's decision is final.
No whining! This contest is a volunteer operation created for the on-line Porsche community. If you don't like it, tough!
Pictures will be accepted from now until Friday, April 15th, 2005. The voting starts on April 16th, 2005 and will continue through Friday, April 29th, 2005. The winners will be announced on Monday, May 2nd, 2005. In addition to the category winners there will again be a "Presidents Award". Whatever that is :D.
This year the categories are:
Best Boxster Image - Amateur
The best overall picture taken by an amateur.
Best Boxster Image - Professional
Best overall image taken by a professional. If you've ever been commissioned to take pictures (paid or not) you fall into this category.
Best Boxster Image - Digitally Manipulated
Images that have been manipulated for things other than standard color correction, etc.
Best Porsche Image - Any Porsche
If you've got a great picture of a Porsche (includes Boxsters) and it's not in another category - it goes here.
