I used to think I was pretty cumputer/internet savvy until I actually tried to create a profile today. From the edit profile screen there isn't a "make this stick" button...

What am I doing wrong? (In terms of posting a profile that is, my wife has a list of EVERYTHING else I am doing (or do) wrong.)

You didn't do anything wrong. After entering the information doing almost anything causes it to be saved :). Some people have asked tht a dummy "Save Profile" button be added to eliminate the confusion and the script maker has declined. What I normally recommend is to hit the Edit Profile button. That way you can immediately check out what you entered.
