I'm new to BABBLERS and was SHOCKED when I saw A-B on the Recommendations list. 6 weeks to get my car in for its annual. An appt one week out is like gold!

Thank (insert favorite diety here) I now live in Fremont and am close to Claridge's!

recommendations list. Right now if someone recommends a shop they go on the list. While this is not ideal it's a little better than no list at all :). From recent conversations is sounds like A-B is working to improve things.

I do agree that Claridges is working hard to improve their shop as well. Dan had some trouble with his car (care to elaborate Dan?) and stopped by Claridges late in the day. Our "normal" Service Writer wasn't around and the other guy said to bring it back next week. This was a serious enough problem that that shouldn't have been the answer from ANY of the service guys. Kimo Sanchez, the writer most of the BABBLERS seem to favor, turned up and got Dan in right then. Dan got his car fixed and back the next day.

HA! I just got a call today from JD Powers who wanted to know how I felt about A-B service. When I rated them Number 1, it wasn't a compliment!

OK, to be fair, the service writers there are good... but the ridiculous wait for an appt AND the equally ridiculous Geo Metro loaner car meant a "NO" answer to the JD Powers question of "would you recommend A-B".

OK, I promise to shut up now about this subject... onto more upbeat topics!
