Googlemap images

Please take a moment and take the "Multiple Choice Poll".
I noticed that almost every member and newbies do not upload their car image on Babblers Googelmap when they mark their location. And I want to know why. :)

Maybe you are having difficulty uploading or not sure how to upload your car image on Googlemap
Maybe you rather not have your car image posted on Googlemap, but why not?
Not many members have their car image uploaded, just curious :confused:
Or it just doesn't matter
Seeing your car image helps to identify you on the road, especially those Bay Area folks :DInstructions:
To upload your car image on the Google map go to Googlemap (http://www.babblers.org/forums/vbgooglemapme.php)

Then go to Your entry (http://www.babblers.org/forums/vbgooglemapme.php?do=addelement)
scroll down the page and you will see "Optional: URL of the image for the marker"
just add the URL of your picture there
then click on "Update the Information" to save
Once the image is uploaded you can click on your marker or any body's marker and a pop up window appears to see the image
I think the image has to be a certain size to upload correctly- my image is Small (240 x 180) - Tom M would knowWe want to see you cars!

Ok, no problem - actually the thumbnail of your profile pic is good until you get another pic. Just a thought.
Next time join us on a drive, someone will take a pic or two of your pcar! :D

Thanks for the invitation, Dedes. Unfortunately, my wife and I will be in Las Vegas (sin city) that weekend. Her company is sending her to a conference there, and we might as well take advantage of free accomodation that she's getting. =)

Problem solved, thanks to our Adminstrator Tom M. :) that fixed the Googlemap.

So try uploading your pcar image now. If you have problems let me know.

Tom did mention the having "?" in the link (URL) can cause some problems. So be sure that your URL doesn't have that "?" in the link.

Like my Flickr link does not have a "?" in it:

Here are the "Bay Area Boxster Board Listers" aka Babblers with
about 45 (member) markers are on the Bay Area map and I know we have way
more than that.
And not counting the active members outside of the greater Bay Area.
There are so many we could have a Boxsterfest :D
and more drives/tours/picnics/autoxing/car care day events.
Everyone must have their "favorite road" to drive to put on a drive/tour/lunch.

Geez, SoCal Folks could get together with NoCal for a Boxsterfest convention!

And I know Pedro in Florida has his group of Pcar friends! We have the lonely
