How many time a week does a stranger come up to you and tell you, "nice car man".:D

Haven't gotten any for the last 3 months that I owned mines. However, got at least 1 glare from stranger everytime I drive the car on the weekend indicating the same thing. =)

I realize this question is pointed toward Boxster drivers but I have to reply. In my Elise, it was at least once daily and some days were closer to 10. I once got 3 "nice cars" before completing my 10 mile drive to work. And I'm just talking about verbal acknowledgments.

Mostly from young boys, thumbs up and waving... reminds me of the 911 commercial where the little guy in school gets caught day dreaming and then see's the silver 911 go by outside the class room.

Women notice too, they are just a lot more reserved about shouting compliments to the 'guy in the Porsche' while they are walking with their guy... :p

Reminds me of a moment early last month where I was coming off the on-ramp into highway 80. I looked over to the car on the very left lane and it's a late model Toyota Camry. The guy driver was focusing on the road ahead of him. The female passenger next to him was looking and smiling at me (and my Boxster). I was the only car on the right of them, and so I'm pretty sure she was aiming that at my direction. I just gave her a smile back and drove off past them. These moments are the ones that made me realize that from now on, I got to own more than just one p-car in my life.

A lady was video taping her son riding a skateboard when her attention switched to an old woman trying to cross the street. It is the best direct hit I have seen in some time. You can hear the video taping lady giggling as she records the event.

I get that a few times a week. When it's parked downtown in my neighborhood, i hear and see people pointing and admiring all the time...

and one hot chick recently said "that car has sex written all over it".

I get it frequently. The best one was the time I was in the City and one of the "street folks" who was a wee bit intoxicated was making his way across the street. As I was waiting for him to cross, I had the red light, he paused in front of my car and and said "nice car man." I thanked him and started laughing. When the street folks stop and say something, you know your driving a special car. :cool:
